About Our Founder

Katie Wolf perkins
principal
Prior to starting Wolf Public Affairs, Katie was a Senior Associate in Michael Best Strategies’ Colorado office, and supported clients with a broad range of government relations, lobbying, and strategic planning services. Utilizing her experience with issues relating to healthcare, agriculture, natural resources, and water, she coordinates with the Strategies team in regional state offices, as well as in Washington, D.C., to help clients achieve their goals.
Prior to joining Strategies, Katie was full-time lobbyist as a senior associate with Precision Policy Group and with Mendez Consulting, where she built upon her expertise in healthcare, agriculture, and political strategy. In addition to lobbying, she also helped manage strategy and fundraising for campaigns run by the firm, helped build relationships with potential new clients, and advise current clients on long term political strategy.
Previously, Katie was a compliance associate with Common Sense Consulting, a role in which she managed state and federal compliance for Senator Michael Bennett’s statewide senate race, and oversaw compliance regulations for congressional and state-level campaigns. She was also a compliance manager in Colorado’s 2008 Campaign for Change, creating and enforcing the campaign budget for the national presidential election and managing human resources.
Katie began her career in politics as a legislative aid and assistant secretary to the Majority Caucus, where she provided research and administrative support to two state senators, developed policy briefings, and most importantly learned the ins and outs of the Colorado State Capitol
